Polmos Jozefow
In the year 1866, the first sugar factory in Congress Poland was founded; it was called Józefów, near Warsaw. As the years passed, the name Józefów was also used to refer to the neighbouring village. The turning point came on the 1st July, 1991, when the state owned corporation Polmos was divided into 25 separate enterprises. Since then, the company has been operating as a PLC, and named Mazowiecka Wytwórnia Wódek i Drozdzy Polmos S.A. w Józefowie.
