Glenesk

Glenesk Distillery was established in 1897 under the name Highland Esk Distillery, two years later it was renamed North Esk Distillery. Between 1938 and 1964 it produced grain whisky. When it reverted to malt production it’s name changed again to Hillside. In 1980 the distillery’s name changed once more to Glenesk and was mothballed five years later.
