}Located between Béziers and Montpellier, Condamine l’Evêque was created in 1978 by Guy and Marie-Claude Bascou. Guy was Head of Oenology at Montpellier University and consults for many growers in the region, leaving day to day running of the Domaine to his son Guillaume. There are 40 hectares here all planted to ‘foreign’ varieties, with the Petit Verdot perhaps the pick of the bunch, with deep black fruits and a spicy smokey character.
