Domaine de Marce - Jeroboams

Domaine de Marce

Christophe Godet, born in the village of Oisly and raised at the domaine, is the seventh generation of the family to run this property. He joined his father in 1992 and took over complete control in 2008. There are 35 hectares of vines. Christophe believes that quality is delivered in the vineyard, and much work is done to ensure the health of the crop with minimum chemical intervention. Oisly has long been recognised as Touraine’s best Sauvignon terroir – easily the equal of lesser Sancerres – and it was finally recognised with its own appellation in 2012. There are just 40 hectares in the AOC and the total annual production is a mere 10,000 cases.
