Citadelle - Jeroboams

Citadelle

Citadelle is the brainchild of Alexandre Gabrielle and Jean-Dominique Andreu. Following their discovery of the old distillery records and recognising France did not have an internationally renowned gin, they decided to develop the products with their eye firmly on quality and flavour. Distilling only French Capet wheat from the Beauce region with naturally lime-filtered spring water from the tiny village of Gensac, their expert distillation methods produce a neutral grain spirit, which has excellent character and a rich mouth feel. This spirit is then further refined during charentais pot distillation, redistillation with botanicals for gin, and micro-oxygenation to increase the softness of the spirit and enhance the crystalline character of the finish.
