Chateau de Chenas

This co-operative was founded in 1934 and now represents 110 growers with 250 hectares of vines to call upon. They produce generic wines as well as 6 Crus. In addition, in Chénas and Moulin à Vent, they produce a prestige cuvée from very old vines which is then aged in oak. This is the Sélection de la Hante and it has a minerality and a density not regularly encountered in Gamay. Attractive in youth, it has the power to age well for 5 years or more.
