Bonotto delle Tezze

This historic estate in the foothills of the Dolomites has been in existence since the 15th Century although they have only been making wine here since the 17th Century. Purchased from the church by the Bonotto family in the 16th Century it is still family owned and run, the current head of the family being Antonio Bonotto, a qualified oenologist. There are 48 hectares of vineyards here planted to 11 different varietals and only organic fertilizers and treatments are used. Winemaker Marinka Polencic aims to express varietal character whilst reflecting the terroir of the dolomites and for this reason, oak use is rare at this estate.
