}This estate is steeped in history and today has the reputation of making the finest examples of Vino Nobile de Montepulciano. Avignonesi own four estates around the town covering a total of 334 hectares, 109 of which are planted to vines. The roots of the estate lie in medieval times, but in 1974 it was purchased by the Falvo brothers, local vintners and it is now co-owned by Alberto Falvo and Virginie Saverys.
