Sardinia

Italian holiday island with a reputation for very alcoholic and overpriced wines of all hues and both dry and sweet. The whites are made of Vermentino crisp and refreshing but with a certain texture whilst the reds are from Cannonau (Grenache), Carignan, Bovale (Bobal) and Monica. Amongst the lakes of ordinariness, there are some inspiring wines made, but because of local demand, these tend to be very expensive.
