Schola Sarmenti

Brother and sister, Lorenzo and Rosangela Marra, fulfilled a lifelong dream when they set up Schola Sarmenti in 2000. The estate is housed in a renovated 19th century winery, and all of the ancient – many are over 70 years old – vineyards are pruned in the traditional Alberello method, to improve the quality of the fruit. Fully organic methods are utilised and harvest is completely by hand – an oddity in this area. This is a thoroughly modern estate, yet one that respects the traditions of the area and produces an outstanding range.
