Chateau Martinolles
Situated in Limoux in the foothills of the Pyrenees, Château Martinolles vineyards are planted at between 200 and 280m altitude and are planted to the local Mauzac, the basis of Limoux wines, along with Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Pinot noir. The climate here takes influence from the Mediterranean, the mountains and the Atlantic. Conditions are perfect for the production of sparkling wines and there are claims that sparkling wine was invented in the area in the early 16th century.
