Chateau Fourcas Hosten

Fourcas Hosten dates back to the early 19th Century and is currently owned by Renaud and Laurent Momméja. A new winemaker, Eric Boissenot, took over in 2001 and the reputation the estate had, a touch unfairly, for deep but slightly coarse and tannic wines, is certainly no longer valid. A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with a soupçon of Cabernet Franc, the 2004 has now reached maturity and is rich and supple.
