Chateau Calon Segur

3rd growth Calon-Sègur was owned by the Gasqueton family from 1894 until 2012 when it was purchased by a subsiduary of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa, who have invested significant sums in the vineyards and winery. This walled 55 hectare estate has remained unchanged since the 1855 classification – a rarity – and has a reputation for making quite velvety wine for a St. Estèphe. Their third wine, St-Estèphe de Calon Segur, is great value.
