Castel Faglia

Named after the ancient Castle that dominates the estate, the property is today owned and run by the Cavicchioli family, renowned in Italy for producing some of the greatest wines made in Lambrusco. There are 17 hectares under vine – Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco and the finest fruit goes into the ‘Monogram’ range of wines, which are designed for extended ageing. The winemaker is Sandro Cavicchioli and he makes the vintage brut from Chardonnay with just a touch of Pinot Bianco and which spends 4 years on its lees and the Zero Dosage wine from Chardonnay with a small amount of Pinot Nero.
