Chateau Ausone

Ausone is one of the great Bordeaux estates and consisting of only 7.3 hectares, fetches high prices. Covering the two great terroirs of St.-Émilion – the côtes and the plateau, and planted to equal parts of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the last 30 years have seen a string of exceptional vintages here. The style is rich, powerful and lush, with structure that requires at least a decade of bottle age.
