Veronique Gunther-Chereau

Véronique Gunther Chereau owns three estates including the Château de Coing, which lies at the confluence of the Sèvre and Petit Maine. The daughter of Bernard Chereau and Edmonde Carrés, Véronique combines her family led traditions and personal enthusiasm to produce outstanding wines of the utmost quality. Her father was a pioneer taking Muscadet to Paris in the 1950s and rejecting the more common practice, popular at the time, of making bulk wines. Véronique herself was raised in the St-Fiacre vineyard. In 1990 she became a full time wine maker. Maintaining the Loire’s tradition of family run wineries, Véronique produces a range of quality wines to suit all occasions.
