Dr. Burklin Wolf

This historic estate has a 400 year history, and owns 83 hectares of vineyards in many of the Pfalz’ finest terroirs. It is the largest private landholder in the region. To look at a vineyard map here is to be reminded of the Côte d’Or, with a myriad of different ‘Crus’ climbing up the hillsides above the picturesque villages. In 2005, the entire estate converted to biodynamics and is certified by BIODYVIN – the first property outside France to achieve this. The Rieslings here are dry or just off-dry, with high natural alcohol levels, great power and rapier-like acidity.
